Pensacola Celebration

This past Saturday, Neil, Brian, (Emily & Ethan were visiting friends out of town), Jeff, Kristie and I drove over to Pensacola to help Von and Neilson celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary as well as Von's 87th birthday. Both of the actual events occurred on Feb. 22nd. Joining us there were my mom, Joe, Glenda and Joanie. We all went out to eat at this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant called Chet's located on Navy Boulevard, but was it ever good! The seafood and cheese grits were awesome! It was a great time of laughter and telling stories and reliving memories. The weather was lousy but it didn't dampen our spirits. The only thing that would have made it any better is if Tom, Pam, Em, and Ethan had been there as well. We missed you all! Once we returned to Mom & Dad's house, we had a nice unexpected visit from Mac and Chris Griffith with their daughter Bethany. Once again, more stories, laughter and catching up on families.
